Sometimes it’s the simple pleasures that make all the difference. This sugar free hot chocolate was one of those. I know it’s coming into Summer and all but sometimes you need a little warmth late at night. Who doesn’t like to snuggle up with a warm cup of hot chocolate.
I will let you in on a secret too. Last week while in New Zealand I had a store-bought hot chocolate, filled to the brim with sugar I am sure. It was so sickly sweet I couldn’t finish it. I was quickly reminded of why I prefer this delicious warm cup of sugar free hot chocolate I made before our holiday.
Sugar free hot chocolate is so so simple to make, uses only two ingredients and is the perfect after dinner sweet treat. If you aren’t a fan of hot drinks you can serve it cold too. For this recipe I used the Walden Farms chocolate dip which is sugar free (and seriously delicious). I would still consider this an indulgent treat because the sweetener used is a sweetener I don’t use regularly. Stay tuned for a thick and creamy healthy hot cacao on it’s way to you soon!
