HOW TO MAKE SALAD IN A JAR | MEAL PREP SERIES
Salad in a jar is one of the easiest week-day meals and one of the most portable options for those of us on the run.
You can essentially add any of your favourite salad vegetables to your salad!
To meal prep at least 4, you will need:
- Four large glass jars with lids
- Ingredients to make a dressing
- Your favourite salad vegetables
And that’s it!
My preference is to cook protein fresh and add that to the salad as I go, however, if you don’t have a problem with pre-cooked protein sources then you could absolutely add this to your salad too.
For the featured salad in a jar options I added nuts and seeds as my healthy fat and protein source. Add the dressing first to keep your salad from going soggy!
To make the dressing you will need:
- Equal parts apple cider vinegar and filtered water (approximately 4 tbsp each)
- Approximately 1 tbsp tahini
- Approximately 1-2 tsp raw honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Or you could use THIS 1 minute egg free mayo.

Once prepared, these will store in the fridge for 3-4 days.
